Humidifying terminology

1. absolute humidity

The quality of the water vapor in the wet air per cubic meter.

2. relative humidity

At a certain temperature, the ratio of absolute humidity to the absolute humidity of the saturated wet air and the absolute humidity of the unsaturated wet air. It shows that the content of water vapor in the wet air is close to saturation, so the relative humidity is relative to the saturated air under the same temperature and the same pressure.

3. moisture content

Wet air is composed of dry air and water vapor, and the amount of water vapor coexisted with 1kg dry air in wet air, known as moisture content.

4. isothermal humidification

The heat is used to convert liquid water into a mixture of steam and air to humidification, and the change in enthalpy and wet map is an approximate isothermal process.

5. equal enthalpy and humidification

The change of the enthalpy and wet map is an approximate enthalpy process by using water to absorb the sensible heat of the air to vaporized and humidified.

6. humidification

The quality of the water vapor that is increased in unit time by the air flowing through the device at work.

7. humidification efficiency

In the amount of water that is sprayed or atomized in the air, how much is actually absorbed into the water vapor by the air. For the high pressure spray humidifier: the effective humidification = the spray amount and the humidification efficiency.

8. saturation efficiency

In the process of equal enthalpy humidification, the air of the humidifier can be saturated after humidification to reach the probability of saturation. The value directly reflects the humidification capacity of the humidifier, the greater the value, the stronger the humidification ability, and vice versa, the weaker the humidification ability. For gasification humidifier, because the evaporation and evaporation of moisture is completely carried out in the humidifier, so the ability of humidifying module is the important factor to determine the saturation efficiency. Water mist humidifier is the spray evaporation of water particles into the airstream, so the particle size, spray location and evaporation distance of the spray particles determine the saturation efficiency, which is an important factor to choose humidifier.

9. effective utilization of water supply

In the water supply of the humidifier, how much water can actually be added to the circulation air, which is an indicator of the effect of water saving.

10. absorption distance

The distance absorbed by the flow of water by spray or atomization in the air flow. The absorption distance of water mist is related to the size and uniform distribution of atomization particles, air temperature, air velocity, relative humidity of air and so on.

11. spray quantity

The total mass of water mist ejected by all the sprinklers within a unit time at a normal working state.

The power consumption of 12. units of humidification

The amount of water per unit of water is heated or atomized to become steam and the amount of electricity consumed.
